Race Against Love

When the word love was spoken,
I knew our hearts will be broken
As the old man always said,
In love we were all created
The more I keep on resisting,
Is when my heart keeps and continue insisting
It in escapable feeling that controls our being
No matter how much pain we are facing,
How hardship encountered to love we continue racing
No matter how far we keep trying to go,
Love is always around us continuing to grow
Trapped in the world ruled by love,
we are forever slaves of its desires
Existing in its rule, dwelling in its domain
we will always do what love requires
They say love is a wonderful thing,
they say love is a sweet feeling
But every time it consumes me,
it’s nothing but a heart that is paining
In my ears they always whispered,
fall in love they always said,
the pain that comes with it they never said
Is it me or does this happen to anyone else
Why me, or have I wronged someone else
Why they say it’s beautiful, all I see is pain in every sense
I keep trying to run away,
but without love I fell not completed
I guess it’s a race that I will never win
Let love continue eating me from within
Deep down in my poor heart
let me feel that sweet pain
the pain called love
